The all-new Remote 160 CR has officially been out in the world for a week now, and hopefully you’ve had a chance to watch the release video. If not, don’t worry, we’ve got it for you below. You also may have noticed that Kona Ride Team member Eddie Reynolds wasn’t exactly riding a stock build. Eddie’s been putting his own custom-spec Remote 160 CR through the wringer, and we figured it was time to take a closer look at one very cool rig.

Given that Shimano is one of Eddie’s longtime sponsors, the drivetrain got a subtle upgrade. The XT Di2 from the stock build has been replaced with the shinier, lighter XTR Di2 rear mech.

For rear suspension, Eddie’s bike is rocking a Marzocchi Bomber Air shock, while up front, you’ll find his regular partner in crime, the Marzocchi Bomber Z1.

The bike is powered by Bosch’s lightweight Performance Line SX system.

For stopping power, Eddie opted for Shimano’s sleek 4-piston XTR stoppers.

Eddie recently welcomed Race Face on board as a new sponsor and is running their alloy Turbine wheelset on his Remote 160 CR. The wheels are shod with Maxxis rubber, with a Minion DHR II out back and a Minion DHF up front.

Longtime sponsor Deity is represented in the cockpit with their Racepoint carbon bar, Copperhead stem, and Supracush grips.

The build is rounded out with a Race Face Aeffect R dropper post, topped with a Deity Speedtrap saddle and Deity Circuit seat clamp.
