Kona Dream Builds: Andrew's Remote 160 CR

Andrew Lefeuvre recently built up this BALLER Remote 160 CR with premium bits from Fox and Raceface. Andrew said he was looking to prioritize durablility, rider comfort, and control.

Andrew says:

"These upgrades transform the Kona Remote 160 CR into a more capable, responsive, and confidence-inspiring eMTB, with improved climbing efficiency, descending control, comfort on long rides, and overall trail performance."

Suspension performance has been elevated with the Fox 38 fork, offering increased chassis stiffness, superior small-bump sensitivity, and greater control in aggressive terrain.

The Fox DHX2 rear shock delivers exceptional traction, consistency, and tunability for demanding enduro and eMTB riding.

Up front, the Race Face Era 40mm carbon handlebar and new Turbine stem create a more refined cockpit, reducing trail vibration and rider fatigue while improving steering precision and confidence on technical descents.

The addition of Race Face Era eMTB carbon wheels provides a lighter yet exceptionally strong wheelset with increased compliance, better tracking through rough terrain, and improved cornering precision. The Race Face Era carbon crankset reduces rotational weight while delivering outstanding stiffness and durability for efficient power transfer.

Completing the build is the Fox Transfer Neo wireless dropper post, providing fast, reliable, and effortless saddle height adjustment with the convenience of wireless operation.
